Obereggen, Carezza, Sellaronda
South Tyrol’s most beautiful ski resorts… right on our doorstep!
The Obereggen Ski Resort has won multiple international awards for snow quality and piste preparation. Even with all the recent technological innovations, there’s still the greatest respect for the natural environment here. A total of 18 modern lifts and cable cars will take you from 1,550m to 2,500m and link Obereggen with the Pampeago and Predazzo ski centres. Here, in the heart of the Latemar UNESCO world heritage site, 48 km of pristinely prepared pistes await you, as does a Snowpark with a half pipe and two toboggan runs. Plus, three times a week, you can enjoy whoosh down the pistes at night as well. The Obereggen ski resort is just a 15-minute drive from our hotel in Nova Ponente.
One of the largest and best ski carousels in the world, the finest skiing experience and the best snowboarding action await you in Obereggen, a member of Dolomiti Superski. Throughout the entire winter season, our comfortable and free shuttle bus will take you to the Obereggen ski resort in just a few short minutes, meaning you can leave the car behind and enjoy your day on the slopes.
At our hotel in Nova Ponente, you may pre-order your ski pass and receive it from us when you arrive,
so you can strap your boots on and get out onto the slopes straight away!
The Carezza ski resort, in the heart of the Dolomites, below the legendary Catinaccio and Latemar massifs, is only about 20 minutes away. The Carezza is one of South Tyrol’s loveliest and sunniest ski resorts and is part of the mysterious Catinaccio region that once belonged to the legendary King Laurin. Can there be anything more beautiful than whizzing down the pistes, feeling the wind in your face and marvelling at the magnificent mountain backdrop all around you? You can look forward to the 14 lifts and 40 km of pistes – promising you an enjoyable day on the slopes!
Snowboarders and toboggan enthusiasts aren’t left out! The resort is hugely popular thanks to its diverse range of leisure opportunities for winter sports fanatics of all kinds. Snowboarders can fly through the air in the large Snowpark, and the four exciting toboggan runs guarantee endless fun. Do you prefer cross-country skiing? The 16 km trails offer a unique way of enjoying the local countryside.
A circuit of the Sella in the famous Sellaronda is something you definitely shouldn’t miss during your skiing holiday in the Dolomites as this is one of South Tyrol’s most impressive ski tours! The 40 km of thrilling pistes are more than enough to keep you in your skis. You won’t need to revisit any of the slopes either, unless you want to, of course, as there’s always something new to experience. This circular tour takes you past breathtaking mountain backdrops and, believe it or not, four Dolomite passes: the Passo Campolongo, the Passo Pordoi, the Passo Sella and the Passo Gardena. The tour also takes you past five villages: Arabba, Canazei, Selva di Val Gardena, Corvara and Colfosco in Alta Badia. The more daring skiers among you can also have the opportunity to sample the Gran Risa giant slalom piste in Alta Badia or the Saslong downhill run.
NB: if you decide to embark on the entire Sellaronda circular tour, we recommend that you begin your day on the mountains before 10am, in order that you arrive in the valley before the lift facilities close. You should plan to be out and about for approx. six hours, including breaks, ascents and descents.
